Governors of the Western States
1. Send Postcards or letters
2. Follow up with a fax (see here to send free faxes using your computer)
3. Follow up with a quick phone call using the message you wrote on your postcard or in your letter
4. Create a sign using a piece of paper, post it on Twitter and tag each Governor: Save Our Wild Horses!

We are writing to all the Governors whose states have wild horse herds.  Please send postcards to them all with the messages:
  • Save our wild horses & burros
  • Protect our American icons of the West - wild horses & burros
  • Use our wild horses for tourism not as scapegoats for the cattle, mining, and oil industries
  • Please consider rewilding our wild horses to help fight wildfires in the West
  • By removing our wild horses from our public lands, we are eliminating an important part of our countries history.  Replacing our wild horses with the cattle, oil, & mining industries will affect all wildlife.  Do we want a country without wild horses and wildlife? NO!
  • Cattle are an environmental crisis, contributing to ecosystem destruction and depleting our water resources on public lands.  Save our wildlife, wild horses & burros, and public lands now before it's too late.
  • Save our wild horses: this is about our lands, our water resources, wildfire prevention, and wildlife.  Stop allowing cattle, oil, and mining to ruin our public lands.   Protect our wild horses and public lands.
  • We, the American taxpaying public, are tired of seeing our public lands overrun with the cattle, mining, and oil industries.  Please protect our wild horses and the land that was provided to them to live on.
  • Protect our wild horses and stop allowing the BLM to round them all up.  Use wild horses for tourism - seeing wild horses on our public lands is far more pleasing than cattle and oil platforms.  Use wild horses to fight wildfires.  Save our wild horses now!
  • When are we as a country going to start doing what's right and protect our public lands and wildlife?  Protecting our wild horses also protects the land and water resources from the destructive cattle industry.  Help us save our wild horses now!
